APPLICATION (2024)
The Applied Digital Islamicate Research Educational Program - 2 (Artificial Intelligence and Digital Islamicate Studies) is organized for researchers pursuing master's and doctoral degrees within the faculties of Ilahiyat/Islamic Science. The program is open to active master's or doctoral students in Ilahiyat/Islamic Science faculties. The application form for participants includes personal information such as name, contact details (email), and educational background. It also includes questions aiming to understand participants closely, such as the department in which they are pursuing their master's or doctoral degrees (the student certificate will be requested), thesis topic, academic interests, motivation for applying to the program, publications, involvement in a TÜBİTAK-supported project, and whether they have received training on programming languages like R and Python, as well as large language models like ChatGPT, and their English language proficiency level. Participants have the option to indicate their preferences;
-
Taking into account the diversity of departments within Ilahiyat/Islamic Science (Islamic Studies, philosophy and religious studies, Islamic history and arts), an effort will be made to provide equal opportunities among these fields, to the extent possible.
-
Considering regional diversity, participants from every region of Turkey will be included.
-
An effort will be made to ensure a balanced distribution between male and female participants to the extent possible.
Participants who are accepted must be registered with TÜBİTAK ARBİS.
A quota of 70 participants has been determined within the framework of established criteria to ensure the healthy continuation of the training and to meet the demand as much as possible. In case of applications exceeding the specified quota, priority will be given to doctoral students based on criteria such as having publications, being a scholarship holder in a TÜBİTAK project, having used AI methods or planning to use them in their thesis/work, having received training in programming languages like R and Python (even at the beginning), and having proficiency in the English language. The priority ranking will be based on academic achievements and interests.
