On this page, information about The Applied Digital Islamicate Studies Educational Program held between 5-17 February 2024 within the scope of the "Türbitak 2237-A Scientific Training Activities Support" Programme is archived.
Within the scope of this training, among 260 applicants, 80 participants at the master's and doctoral level from different cities of Turkey and from many different disciplines of the faculties of theology, who are involved in Tübitak projects, who have publications and who want to use the methods of DH directly in their studies, were trained. It was observed that the preferences in the applications were concentrated on certain subjects.
In line with the interest shown in text analyses and artificial intelligence among the four modules in the program, it was decided to focus on text analyses from the field of theology with AI applications in D-IS/2 training. In this context, a training program has been prepared that includes the digital infrastructure for text analysis with AI methods, especially NLP, OCR/HTR and LLM, sample text analysis applications from the field of theology and projects in this field.
You can find the details of the D-IS/1 training below, and you can browse our Project Outputs page for the works of the trained researchers.
